近年來蘋果愈發重視印度市場，首家直營店也即將開幕，此外，根據印度媒體報導，蘋果與當地商場簽署協議，這份協議規範，在蘋果直營店附近為蘋果的專屬區域，競爭品牌將無法入駐。

協議中提到，共有22家表列的競爭品牌無法在該區域設點，列入的公司包含亞馬遜、臉書、Google、LG、微軟、Sony、推特、Bose、Devialet、Dell、Foxconn、Garmin、Hitachi、台北收購筆電hp、HTC、IBM、Intel、Lenovo、Nest、Panasonic、Toshiba。意外的是三星並不在榜單上。

這份協議中也提到，這些品牌將無法在蘋果直營店附近設點，此外也不能展示產品，或提供服務，甚至不能出現廣告。

其實蘋果要在印度設點十分不易，由於印度當地規定，禁止單一品牌開設實體店面，除非產品有大部分屬於印度生產，而近年蘋果也持續將不分產線從中國轉移到印度，因此才有機會開設自己的直營店。
